UX & Conversion Findings
Page-by-page analysis with visual comparisons against top Electronics stores
- Homepage contains no customer reviews, testimonials, or ratings section of any kind
- No press mentions, industry certifications displayed as trust signals, or partner logos
- No Trustpilot, Google rating, or BBB badge visible anywhere on the page
- B2B buyers in heavy truck parts rely heavily on peer validation before purchasing — its absence increases drop-off
- Add a dedicated testimonial strip below the hero with 3-4 distributor/fleet customer quotes, company names, and states
- Display a Google Business or Trustpilot aggregate rating badge in the header or USP strip
- Add a 'Trusted by X fleets and distributors' counter near the hero CTA to anchor authority
- Typing 'brake' or 'air' into the search box produces zero dropdown suggestions
- Users must press Enter and wait for a full page reload to see any results
- Parts buyers typically search by OEM part numbers (e.g. '109685') — predictive search is critical for cross-referencing
- Search field is visually buried in the mobile header — not immediately visible on page load
- Implement a predictive search that fires on 3+ keystrokes and surfaces product names, part numbers, and category matches in a dropdown
- Include OEM part number matching in search results (e.g. user types Bendix part number, Torque equivalent appears)
- Make the search bar full-width and visible on mobile without requiring a tap on the icon first
- Hero carousel slides are pure image banners — tapping the image links to a category, but there is no visible CTA button
- Product category pills on the Suspension slide (Drag Links, Tie Rod End, etc.) are small and easy to miss
- The 'Click Here' on the Suspension Support Kit Finder banner leads to a tool, not a shop page
- Without a clear 'Shop Now' or 'View Collection' button, many mobile users will not interact with the hero at all
- Add a prominent 'Shop Now' or 'Browse Parts' CTA button on each hero slide, overlaid on the image with high contrast
- Ensure each hero slide links to the most relevant category with a clear text label
- Test reducing the slider to 3 slides maximum — too many rotating slides reduce engagement on mobile
- Mobile header has a hamburger menu (≡) that opens Corporate/Distributor/Warranty/Contact links — no product categories
- Product categories are in a separate 'PRODUCT CATEGORIES' button that opens a separate category list drawer
- Users must know which of two menus to use — one for products, one for company info — creating confusion
- The category navigation expands inline below the header rather than as a true overlay, displacing page content
- Consolidate into a single hamburger menu with product categories prominently at the top, followed by company links
- Implement a mega menu or categorized drawer that shows all 20 product categories with thumbnail images in one tap
- Add a visible 'Shop All Parts' button in the header bar as a direct CTA that bypasses the category tree entirely
- Collection pages offer only a single 'Product Title' sort dropdown — no filter options of any kind
- With 1000+ parts across categories like Air Dryers (17 SKUs visible on one page), buyers cannot filter by application, vehicle brand, or part type
- Truck part buyers search by vehicle make/model, axle type, or OEM number — without filters they must scroll through all results
- Competing B2B parts sites (FleetPride, Buyers Products) all offer multi-attribute filtering
- Add a filter panel with at minimum: Vehicle Make/Model, Part Type, and Application filters relevant to each category
- Implement a sticky filter/sort bar that remains accessible as users scroll through long product lists on mobile
- Consider a price range filter for logged-in distributors viewing pricing tiers
- Every product card shows 'LOGIN FOR PRICE' instead of any price — even a range or MSRP
- New prospects and fleet buyers evaluating Torque Parts have no way to assess competitiveness without creating an account
- Cart page also redirects to login — the entire purchase funnel is gated before any value is shown
- Competitor sites like FleetPride show pricing to logged-out visitors or offer a clear 'Call for pricing' with phone number
- Show a price range or MSRP on product cards for logged-out users ('From $X' or 'Call for distributor pricing')
- Add a prominent 'Request Account' or 'Become a Distributor' CTA on every product card for non-logged visitors
- Consider showing pricing to logged-out users for select SKUs (clearance, accessories) to demonstrate value before requiring account creation
- Collection page product tiles show: image, product name, SKU number, 'PRODUCT DETAILS' button, and 'LOGIN FOR PRICE' — no ratings
- No star ratings, review counts, or quality indicators on any product card across all categories checked
- B2B buyers rely on peer ratings to validate part quality before ordering for fleet use
- No 'Best Seller', 'New', or any distinguishing badges on product cards
- Implement a product review system (e.g. Trustpilot, Google Reviews integration) and display aggregate star ratings on collection cards
- Add 'Bestseller' or 'Top Rated' badges to high-performing SKUs to guide buyers toward proven products
- Display a 'X+ fleets ordered' social proof indicator on high-volume products
- PDP has no star rating display above fold near the product title — zero review indicators anywhere
- No reviews section exists anywhere on the page — not below the tabs, not in the footer area
- No review system is installed (no Yotpo, Trustpilot, Judge.me, or Stamped.io detected in page source)
- Truck part buyers making fleet purchasing decisions need quality validation — lack of reviews increases call volume and reduces online conversion
- Install a B2B-appropriate review platform and seed initial reviews by reaching out to existing distributor customers
- Display an aggregate star rating and review count directly below the product title, above the image
- Add a 'Verified Purchase' badge to reviews to distinguish fleet buyers from general users
- The ATC zone ('Click To See Price' button area) is followed immediately by the Description tab — no trust indicators in between
- Zero warranty callout near the ATC despite Torque Parts offering a 3-year warranty (visible in hero banners)
- No 'Secure Checkout', 'Genuine OEM Equivalent', or 'Easy Returns' text or icons near the purchase button
- The 3-year warranty message exists only in homepage image banners — never reinforced at the purchase decision point
- Add a trust badge row directly below the 'Click To See Price' / ATC button: '3-Year Hassle-Free Warranty', 'OEM Tested Fitment', 'Ships in 2 Business Days'
- Display the warranty shield icon (already used in homepage hero banners) as a small badge near the ATC for brand consistency
- Add a 'Secure B2B Checkout' badge with lock icon for logged-in users to reinforce payment security
- After scrolling past the 'Click To See Price' button, no sticky or fixed ATC bar appears at the bottom of the screen
- Users reading the Specifications or Cross Ref Numbers tabs have no purchase action available without scrolling back up
- PDPs can be long (specs, size/weight, related products) — losing the CTA during content review is a conversion gap
- The sticky element currently at the bottom is only the 'Give Us Your Feedback' button, not a purchase CTA
- Implement a sticky bottom bar that appears when the inline 'Click To See Price' / ATC button scrolls out of view on mobile
- For logged-in users, the sticky bar should include product name, quantity selector, and 'Add to Cart' button
- The sticky bar should disappear when the user scrolls back up to the inline button to avoid duplicate CTAs
- PDP has 4 tabs: Description, Cross Ref Numbers, Specifications, Size & Weight — but on mobile the tab row overflows, showing only first 2 tabs
- Specifications tab (critical for B2B buyers confirming fitment) requires horizontal scrolling to discover — not obvious on mobile
- The spec table itself contains only 5 rows (Supply Port, Delivery Port, Purge Valve, Heater, Weight) — very sparse for a technical product
- Truck part buyers need dimensions, thread sizes, pressure ratings, and compatibility data — current spec table is insufficient
- Replace horizontal tabs with a vertical accordion layout on mobile so all sections (Description, Specs, Cross Ref, Size) are immediately visible without scrolling
- Expand the Specifications table to include application compatibility, pressure rating, inlet/outlet specs, and fitment notes
- Mark the Specifications section as 'open by default' on mobile to surface critical fitment data above the fold
- Torque Parts prominently promotes '3 Year Hassle Free Warranty' on homepage banners but this is nowhere on the PDP
- Description tab contains only product name and Prop 65 warning — no warranty period, coverage, or claim process
- Fleet buyers evaluating a $200-500 air dryer need warranty assurance at the point of purchase decision
- Navigation menu has a 'WARRANTY' link but it goes to a static content page — not surfaced contextually on PDPs
- Add a warranty callout line directly in the ATC zone: '3-Year Hassle-Free Warranty — Submit claim at torqueusa.com'
- Include a dedicated 'Warranty' section or accordion on all PDPs with the coverage period, what's included, and how to claim
- Link the warranty section to the full warranty policy page for buyers who want details
- PDP has no delivery estimate, shipping timeline, or in-stock indicator near the ATC button
- Homepage USP strip (image) states 'Ships in 2 business days' — but this is never reinforced at the PDP purchase point
- Fleet and fleet maintenance buyers need to know if a part arrives before a truck is needed back in service
- No zip/state-based delivery estimator or static shipping policy callout anywhere on the PDP
- Add 'Usually ships in 2 business days' as a text line directly below the ATC button on all PDPs
- For logged-in users, show estimated delivery date based on account shipping address
- Add a free shipping callout for orders above the threshold (currently $1,500) near the ATC for relevant SKUs
- Navigating to /cart immediately redirects to /customer/login — zero cart functionality is accessible without an account
- Every product page shows 'LOGIN FOR PRICE' and 'Click To See Price' — pricing is entirely hidden from non-logged visitors
- New distributors and fleet buyers evaluating Torque Parts as a vendor cannot assess pricing competitiveness without creating an account
- The only path for new prospects is 'Become a Distributor' form — creating a significant funnel abandonment point
- Show indicative pricing (MSRP or 'From $X') to logged-out visitors on product pages to allow price comparison before account creation
- Add a prominent 'Request a Quote' or 'Get Distributor Pricing' CTA on PDPs as an alternative to full login for first-time visitors
- Create a clear 'New Customer' onboarding path from the homepage that explains the login requirement and its benefits (distributor pricing, order history, etc.)
